Saturday Link Roundup

Let’s remember this week for the good stuff, like the first footage of one of our most beloved Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 contestants, the Lord of Chaos… He Who Sleeps, but Shall Awake… the mighty Shuma Gorath! Gotta say, I was a little concerned about Mr. Gorath’s transition from beautifully animated 2D to 3D, but after seeing him and Jill in action, no more worries.

On the bad news front, it appears that panty-filled shooter Gal Gun–one of my lowlights from TGS 2010–is losing some ogling features. :(

Who’s doing lunch better? Anna the Red, with her amazing Okami-inspired bento creation or Wendy’s who are crapping out some Pac-Man kid’s meals. Sure, I’m poo-pooing it, but I’m actually kind of interest in these Pac-Man trinkets. Someone, please stop me before I eat a Wendy’s junior sized lunch!

From the You Can’t Have This department, be jealous of these great, one-of-a-kind Mortal Kombat kab… err, cabinets, the grand prize of an upcoming UK tournament. They should really give another one of these at this year’s EVO tourney.

Finally, we’re obviously saddened to hear about this week’s massive quake and tsunami affecting Japan. We’re staying positive, knowing that some of our Tokyo and Osaka-based friends are safe and that the tragedy is bringing out the best in some people.
