Choose Your Waste Of Flesh!
Posted: 12/12/2010
We’ve received many requests for our Marvel Vs. Capcom inspired Waste of Flesh tee, which has never been officially printed. But our Shuma Gorath versus Servbots tee can soon be yours! Capcom will be offering the tee as a limited time bonus to anyone who orders a copy of Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds through the online Capcom store. Since you were going to buy MvC3 anyway, it’s kind of a win-win, right? Right.
For the record, Waste of Flesh will be your bonus gift, whether you purchase the standard edition or the limited edition. Given that the limited edition features Shuma “He Who Sleeps, But Shall Awake” Gorath as a free DLC character, the decision probably won’t be too hard.
Here’s the hard part. You’ll have to choose which colorway we’re going to print. Head over to Capcom Unity to help us decide.

Wizard Shot the Food!
Posted: 09/15/2010Thor the Warrior is conspicuously missing in action, Thyra the Valkyrie says she has a headache, and Questor the Elf will have to sit his pansy-ass down. Tonight it’s all about Merlin.

The “Wizards ‘n’ Warriors” collection gets an extra life with the Wizard from the co-op classic Gauntlet, presented in both cosmic black and sky blue. Day or night, Meat Bun has got you covered!

Who knew a Texas Instruments TMS5220C speech chip would produce some of gaming’s most memorable quotes — ever. We always thought the ominous announcer from Gauntlet and the voices from 720 and Paperboy sounded strangely familiar.

File Under F For… Flattery?

Found this in Topman while shopping at London today and was immediately struck by a shocking feeling of eye-bashing familiarity. Thanks to the brand Two Bucks for the flattering… homage, I guess.

EVO 2K10
Posted: 07/13/2010
EVO 2K10 at Caesars Palace was a blast! Las Vegas in July, on the other hand, was a blast furnace. Most sane people opt to avoid having their faces melted off. But that would have meant missing out on the best Street Fighter action we have ever seen.

The man who reigned supreme was none other than Daigo “The Beast” Umehara. He is the real deal, if you weren’t yet convinced by his 20+ first place tournament championships. And yes, he will sign your breast if you ask politely. But honestly, the level of Super Street Fighter IV play on display at EVO 2010 was jaw-dropping. It wasn’t all a cakewalk for Daigo though. Here’s a semi-final match that proves this point, punctuated by a storm of fireballs:
We are definitely hooked. The guys that ran EVO are great. And the competitors were spectacular. As for Vegas in July, we’ll just have to keep those obnoxious 190 Octane frozen drinks they sell by the yard in hand at all times.

Meat Bun’s “Wizards ‘n Warriors” Collection Now Online!
Posted: 06/30/2010It’s here! Our Summer 2010 collection, “Wizards ‘n Warriors,” has finally been summoned to the Meat Bun online store, filled with homages to some of our favorite magic users and 8-bit heroes from some of our all-time favorite video games.
Whether your weapon of choice is a whip, as in the grisly Beheaded, an axe, as wielded by the adorably vengeful Thunderhead, or even a Ninjawarrior‘s kunai, the new line has your warrior needs covered. On the magical side, if you prefer to turn your enemies into eggplants with an ancient Greek curse, the Wizard may be more your style.
To see the full “Wizards ‘n Warriors” line-up, head over to the store.
