  • Hey, are you going to PAX East this year? Then make sure to stop by the 2 Player Productions and Attract Mode booth, where the lovely Adam Robezzoli and the personable Matt “Fort90” Hawkins will be selling the finest of wares, including zines, posters, indie game soundtracks and, last but not least, our very own Meat Bun tees!

It’s true! Meat Bun will be making a special trip to the inaugural Penny Arcade Expo in Boston, Massachusetts this weekend, courtesy of Attract Mode, a chance to get your hands on some classic favorites and long-out-of-print product. Look for the 2 Player Productions booth in the Band Land area if you want to stock up on some video game culture goods. Just do it early! Quantities are wicked limited and the stickers are free.

PAX East is totally happening March 26-28 at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston. You should go and give high-fives to Adam and Matt for us!

  • Kotaku-tan!

    Posted: 02/22/2010

We worked with the amazing artist, Jason Chan, to create this design for our friends at Kotaku.

Diving into the deep end of moe anthropomorphism, Kotaku-tan is comprised solely of references familiar to longtime Kotaku readers.

We’re really happy with the way she turned out, thanks in part to a ridiculous 13-screen printing process we used for the shirts. Kotaku-tan is available now in black, asphalt, and natural organic.

  • Welcome back, Meat Bun!

    Posted: 02/19/2010

The new Meat Bun web site is finally loaded! We blame the mandatory install to the hard drive for the delay. Now, what to call it… how about Meat Bun 2: Rise of the Nikuman, or Meat Bun 20XX, or American McGee’s Meat Bun II?

While we’re coming up with some asinine title following the universally accepted game sequel naming convention, please feel free to look around and tell us what you think!

In the coming weeks and months, we’ll be launching some new designs, special projects and collaborations, with the debut of our Spring/Summer 2010 line arriving, well, this Spring! The best way to stay on top of all the hot Meat Bun action is by reading our newsletter or by following us on Twitter and Facebook where we’ll drop up-to-the-minute news, announcements and special promotions. Sure beats hitting F5 non-stop!

In the meantime, head over to the store, maybe grab yourself a Meat Bun grab bag, the best deal you’ll get on some of our older stuff, samples and maybe something you’ve never seen before!

  • labor_day_09_sale.jpg

For the next 24 hours — and the next 24 hours only — we’re eviscerating prices on all in stock Meat Bun stuff! That means 50% off of everything, from old stuff to new stuff to deluxe stuff as we make way for even newer, equally good stuff! Head on over to the store to grab whatever it is we have left and do it posthaste, because some items are in short supply.

The savings end at 11:59 PM Pacific time on Monday, so if you need some fancy new tees, don’t hesitate. Get some!

  • Kurt Cobain, You’re so Vain

    Posted: 08/31/2009

Actually, he wasn’t.  Wesley Willis only said that because it rhymed.  He also said suck a male camel’s dick with Hoisen sauce.  And he headbutted me.  Mike was there, and can confirm this is 100% true.  But I’m getting off topic.

    nirvana6.jpg

Kurt Cobain is in Guitar Hero 5.  Think about that for a second.  Here’s a guy who had trouble buying himself a “fancy” new car  (it was a Lexus if you’re wondering, and he returned it two days later when his friends made fun of it) after he became rich, and now he’s fronting Activision’s 5th installment of their dying cash cow they milked one too many times.

If Kurt knew he’d be polygonally immortalized wearing a cardigan and a shirt drawn by Daniel Johnston,  I’m pretty sure he would have never touched either ever in his life.  Maybe it would have been something a little less ESRB friendly.

So who’s really behind this commercial betrayal of everything Kurt?  Frances Bean?  I doubt it.  I’m looking at you, Courtney.

  • Meat Bun Goes DX, XXL

meat_bun_dx.jpgIf you missed out on some of our initial offerings the first time ’round… good!  Because we’re introducing some of our most popular, most sold out items in special deluxe variations. The Meat Bun DX line updates some of our favorite video game tees from the our launch — The Four, Agro Polo and Fight Night — with each given a special tweak that makes those fan favorite designs even better.

Now available in the Meat Bun store are the first of three DX offerings!

    • The Four DX edition is in the classic Famicom color style, burgundy with gold metallic ink.
    • Agro Polo DX is done in soft, luxurious red velvet on black.
    • Fight Night DX is reprinted in an eye-catching three color process, like the classic Frazier/Ali boxing poster.

And, in response to numerous requests, all these designs — as well as our classic Fight Night tee in “blood” — are available in extra extra large. We’ve listened to your demands, burly and husky types, so snap ‘em up now while we still have ‘em!
