Posted: 11/20/2008Don’t worry. We haven’t been playing games exclusively the last couple months.

Although that would have been pretty easy to do, considering the gaming glut we are in right now: Left 4 Dead, Fallout 3, Mirrors Edge, Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe, THQ’s Gallop and Ride for the Nintendo Wii… the hits don’t stop. You think I’m kidding about the last one, but a couple hours “brushing and massaging your horse using the Wiimote” will have you singing a different tune, Partner.
Our next series launch is just around the corner. Early reaction has been pretty stellar, and just what we were shooting for. Be sure to check back in the next week or two, or you can join us on Facebook to get a live update.

Posted: 11/19/2008Few things in life are more enjoyable than when a game captivates you completely.

Bethesda did their job. I purchased Fallout 3 day 1 at the midnight launch in Pasadena. I’m still pounding away at it. Not only is it as “beautiful” as Oblivion, it runs rings around it performance-wise. I have a pretty beefy system, but I’m still surprised it suggested I max out the graphic settings at 1920×1200. Just wait ’til the modding community gets their hands on it!

My first run, I’m playing as a saint. Picture Joan of Arc, but with a Chinese Assault Rifle. My second time through, I’m aiming to be the Scourge of Humanity. After Megaton gets the nuke, I’m off to hunt the remaining populace, hit them in the face with the Mesmetron, then slap on a radio-controlled exploding head collar as I haul their ass to the slaver encampment for my reward!

Game of the year.
